Some versions of the Ramayana, particularly in Southeast Asia, mention Hanuman having a wife. One popular story names her as Suvarchala, daughter of Surya, the Sun God. This marriage was facilitated by Surya as a reward for Hanuman's devotion and his help in retrieving the nine gems stolen by Rahu.
Makardhwaja was born from a drop of Hanuman's sweat that fell into the ocean and was swallowed by a fish. Makardhwaja becomes a valiant warrior, eventually meeting his father later in life.
Hanuman could shrink himself to the size of a thumb, even smaller than a mustard seed. This allowed him to infiltrate seemingly impossible places, like Surasa's mouth in his journey to Lanka.
